On Friday August 20, 2010, in the heart of Guelph Ontario, a brand new Salvation Army Thrift Store location opened its doors.

Like all Salvation Army Thrift Stores, the stores mission is to help generate funds for the countless programs and services provided by The Salvation Army across Canada. Accordingly, it is important for store locations to be central, allowing for community involvement, a clear priority for the organization.

At 204 Silvercreek Parkway North, the new store is easily accessible for those wanting to shop and enjoy great savings or for others interested in dropping off their generous donations.

Although the old location closed its doors, there was no concern of losing the many loyal shoppers. “We were tucked away at our other location,” says Store Manager Deanne Roberts. “I am thrilled we have moved; we have just made visiting us that much easier for all of our fantastic guests.”

Standing at 9265 square feet, the store is anything but tucked away. With its bright decor, clean, organized and fully stocked product, and its freshly renovated feel, the store has created an invigorating shopping experience for Guelph residents.
