It is well known that Salvation Army Thrift Stores generate funds to support programs and services in communities across Canada.  However, our support also extends to many other countries around the world! 

Through the Salvation Army's Child Sponsorship Program, Thrift Stores help provide children in places such an India, Africa and the Caribbean funds to pay for their education, clothing, food and other necessities.

Each Salvation Army Thrift Store is assigned a child to support. Every month proceeds from the store, as well as customer donations, are collected and sent to the child.

The children write letters to the store sponsoring them, and the stores in turn write to the children. 

The Salvation Army Child Sponsorship Program is a terrific opportunity to connect with a specific child who is in need in this world.
